WSOP Recap: Canada Now Owns 23% of This Years Bracelets : CalvinAyre.com
One group of countrymen who are not complaining of the freezing cold in the vast caverns of the Rio are the Canadians, who yesterday took their countries tally to nine gold bracelets. thermocol sheets There is simply no country running hotter than the maple leaf right now.
The first of two Canadian bracelets doled out yesterday now lies on the wrist of Justin Oliver after achieving victory in Event #38: $2,500 No-Limit Hold em (NLHE) – Four-Handed. Oliver outlasted a field of 566-players, including a final table that contained David Pham, Jared Jaffee and Nick Schwarmann to take home the first prize of $309,071.
It was a fairytale for Oliver. Not only had he been playing poker for just three-years, but also he had never played four-max before and came into the heads-up encounter with Nick Schwarmann with 6:1 chip deficit.
My mental game is tough but it used to be terrible. I used to tilt and go insane. I have to plug Jared Tendler and his great book The Mental Game of Poker . Jared is a good friend of mine and he has coached me on the mental game and I don t tilt any more. It doesn t matter what happens to me I just don t feel upset for any second. It s not as if I knew I was going to win, I was just willing to accept whatever would happen. Wherever the cards fall they fall. Oliver told the PokerNews sideline reporter Sarah Grant in his post win interview.
The second thermocol sheets Canadian bracelet was issued to Daniel Idema , after his victory in Event #39: $1,500 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or-Better, an event that also saw fellow Canadian Mike Leah finish in fifth place (his second Stud final table of the series).
During our chat with Allen Cunningham, last week, he was telling us how finishing second in Event #12: $1,500 Pot Limit Hold em (PLH) was a great success given his recent poor performances in WSOP events. So he should be ecstatic after reaching thermocol sheets the unofficial final table in Event #40: $1,500 NLHE.
Cunningham is a man on form, but he does have his work cut out as he enters the final phase of play with one of the smaller stacks at the final table. 2,161 players entered the event and only 10-remain with Peter Hengsakul leading the way with 2.1m chips at the time of writing.
With Nicolas Fierro making his way into the final 10 of Event #40 and Alex Manzano leading the final three tables in Event #41: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) Six-Max, it could be a great day for Chile when the dust settles.
Another massive turnout for a $1k event as 2,023 players thermocol sheets created a bumper field in Event #42: $1,000 NLHE. 87-players remain at the time of writing and the chip leader is Norbet Szecsi with 185,000 chips. The overnight chip leader Matt Matros is sitting comfortably with 140,000 and Sam Grafton, thermocol sheets Tony Dunst, Victor Ramdin and Chris DeMaci are also in the top end of the chip counts.
Tom Schneider has positioned himself nicely after the first day of action in Event #43: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball. He finished the day with 115,200 chips putting him in third place on the leader board.
The NLHE experts fill the top two spots: Calvin Anderson (134,700) and Paul Volpe (127,000). Layne Flack, Matthew Ashton, Frank Kassela and John Hennigan just a few of the mixed game specialists looking to stop the runaway thermocol sheets train of Schneider as we enter our second day of action.

A new internal US Immigration and Customs Enforcement document that the US House of Representatives

Uncovered: Obama’s Plan to Release Thousands of Illegal Aliens | FrontPage Magazine
A new internal US Immigration and Customs Enforcement document that the US House of Representatives Judiciary Committee retrieved honeycomb board and then released to the public earlier this week has added another layer to the conflicting set of stories coming out of the Obama White House as to exactly why it released thousands of illegal immigrants from ICE jails on the eve of sequester.
According to this document, the detainees released from ICE facilities beginning at the end of February are part of a larger plan to release thousands of prisoners so that ICE facilities would only be operating at about 70% full capacity. ICE has just more than 34,000 beds that it operates.
Starting shortly after February honeycomb board 15, 2013, media reported that a few hundred and then a few thousand prisoners had been released from ICE prisons, and the initial explanation was that these detainees were being released due to budget cuts related to sequester.
When asked to explain why ICE facilities would operate at 70% effectiveness because of 2.4% worth of cuts, Gillian Christenson, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security s Media Relations team in Washington, D.C., blamed across-the-board spending cuts in the sequester:
As fiscal uncertainty honeycomb board remained over the continuing resolution, and with the strong possibility of sequestration, ICE officials identified and released honeycomb board detained individuals who posed the least threat to public safety, were not subject to mandatory detention and who were appropriate candidates for supervised release. These decisions were made on a case by case basis, by career law enforcement officials in the field, in order to ensure that ICE maintained sufficient resources to detain serious criminal offenders and other individuals who pose a significant threat to public safety through the end of the continuing resolution.
Christenson further claimed, With sequestration now in effect, ICE must reduce expenditures by $294,000,000 across all of its programs, which represents a 5% cut to all accounts honeycomb board across ICE s budget and will reduce ICE s actual annual detention budget going forward.”
that Administration honeycomb board officials at ICE prepared cold calculations to release thousands of criminal aliens onto the streets and did not demonstrate any consideration of the impact this decision would have on the safety of Americans. The decision honeycomb board to release detained aliens undermines the Department of Homeland Security s mission to keep our homeland secure and instead makes our communities less safe and more vulnerable to crime.
The House Judiciary Committee has found several ways the Department could save money in light of sequestration, such as reducing staff bonuses honeycomb board and performance awards and using unspent funds from inefficient state and local grant programs. But regardless of sequestration, DHS actually has plenty honeycomb board of funding to pay for the detention of criminal aliens. honeycomb board Unfortunately, it seems Administration officials honeycomb board are more interested in using sequestration to promote their political agenda than as an opportunity to get our nation s fiscal house in order. The Judiciary Committee honeycomb board plans to hold a hearing on this issue soon to get down to the bottom of this problematic situation.
Furthermore, Republican senators and congressmen have been complaining that these cuts come even though DHS didn t spend $8 billion in allocated funds. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley sent a letter to DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano on February 27, 2013 and was concerned that these cuts come even though $8 billion honeycomb board was allocated but unspent in 2012.
While the Department released illegal honeycomb board alien detainees into the population on the basis of cost cutting, we find this decision particularly troubling because the Department has carried or will carry forward billions of dollars in fiscal years 2012 and 2013. Last year, the department announced an unobligated balance of over $8 billion.
While the administration claims everyone released so far does not pose a danger to the public, anecdotal honeycomb board evidence shows otherwise. In a New York Times report on the program, the paper featured one individual named Anthony Orlando Williams that was released and appeared to present a danger to the public.
Among honeycomb board those released in the past week was Anthony Orlando Williams, 52, a Jamaican immigrant who spent nearly three years in a detention center in Georgia. “I m good, man,” he said. “I m free.”
Mr. Williams, in a telephone interview from Stone Mountain, Ga., said he became an illegal immigrant when he overstayed a visa in 1991. He was detained in 2010 by a sheriff s deputy in Gwinnett County, Ga., when it was discovered that he had violated probation for a conviction in 2005 of simple assault, simple battery and child abuse, charges that sprung from a domestic dispute with his wife at the time. He was transferred t

Family trees are monstrous wonders of genetic distillation, alternately yielding grotesque and delightful offspring. And, as is nature's wont, it's within the strongest of these "carriers" that dominant traits are passed on, ensuring honey comb a continued legacy for a specific branch marked by beauty, brains or beastliness. And so the same rings true for the RAZR lineage : a once forgotten, but now revived brand that's helping to define the new Motorola (as experienced through Verizon ). Tucked safely under the protective wing of Google's guardianship, honey comb the manufacturer's embarking on a wireless renaissance and soldering that second honey comb chance at relevance honey comb to the Kevlar back of its latest Droid progeny. But as with all litters, there's bound to be one runt and here that distinction belongs to the Droid RAZR M .
Known internally as the Scorpion Mini , this ICS handset's barebones build can deceive honey comb the eye into believing it's smaller than it actually is. But really, its screen is the same 4.3-inch, qHD, Super AMOLED Advanced affair as that of the original RAZR reboot -- just without the considerable bezel. So Moto's engineers have trimmed some fat, but this cosmetic overhaul also goes below the surface. Keeping it fairly current is a gently skinned version of Ice Cream Sandwich (soon to be upgraded to Jelly Bean) that's powered by a souped-up 1.5GHz honey comb dual-core Snapdragon S4 and 1GB RAM. And really, that's about as modern as the RAZR M gets. Put down on paper, that mild spec bump might not seem compelling enough, but let us tantalize you with the device's honey comb most attractive tidbit: $99 on-contract pricing. Yes, folks, this formidable Droid RAZR redux has a retail positioning ace up its sleeve, but does that alone warrant two years of Verizon's chains? Can a slimmer form factor, unchanged display and faster processor lure in the style-conscious on a budget? Or are you better off holding out for its bigger bodied (and batteried) Droid RAZR HD siblings ? Stick with us as we pass judgment on Moto's little leaguer.
Even as of this writing, we're still torn on the RAZR M's fit and finish. Does it offend with extravagant styling? Nope. Does it entice with a striking design? That's another no. On the whole, the device is best categorized as inoffensive -- it's imbued with a blandness that's neither edgy, nor soft and curvy. Motorola's achieved a design that could very well wind up in your Grandma's hands, or even your hipster younger brother's. It's just not that divisive and, well, therein lies the RAZR M's obvious marketing charm.
Seen from the front, the RAZR M presents an expanse of Gorilla Glass ringed by an aluminum frame. Flanking the screen are Motorola's logo up top and Verizon's branding on the bottom. Save for a tapered chin, it's an altogether simple face, uncluttered and nondescript. honey comb Only in its white iteration does the phone convey a sense of personality. In black, it's anonymous and indistinct; a no-frills phone for the non-fussy.
Ports honey comb and hardware keys are placed about the M's four edges with a clear rhyme and reason. Along the right side, you'll find a very solid-feeling power button and volume rocker, both of which have just enough texture so as to make them easy to find by feel. On the opposite edge is the micro-USB port -- along with micro-SIM and microSD slots, both covered by a flimsy strip of protective plastic. Flip the phone around and you'll find the most striking evidence of the phone's honey comb RAZR lineage: a smooth, Kevlar-coated back. As you'd expect, it's similar honey comb to the backing on the new RAZR HD and RAZR Maxx HD. This time, though, the Kevlar doesn't take up the whole back side; presiding over that patterned honey comb mesh is an 8-megapixel shooter capable of 1080p video capture.

Dave Hess experienced mechanical failure during his heat and was unable to start the main event. Blair, already a four-time winner his season led Miley with John Volpe third through the early laps. At eight laps compete Andy Boozel got next to Volpe for third but Was unable to complete the pass before Chris Peterson experienced mechanical ails and came to a halt on the front straight. The ensuing caution erased Blair’s lead but the “Titusville Terror” quickly established himself as the driver to beat. At the stripe it was Blair by five car-lengths over Pittsburgh’s Jared Miley, defending champion Mike Knight, Andy Boozel, and John Volpe.
The United E-Mod Series made a visit to Eriez Speedway with a full twenty-four car field. Plyler Overhead Door E-Mod champion Joel Watson was on the pole with UEMS A&MP regular Dan Davies outside. Current series points leader Steve Dixon started from the third position, looking for his sixth series win of the season and his second at Eriez. After many caution periods as cars were having trouble negotiating traffic on the hard, slick surface, the second half of the 25-lap affair went smoothly with only one caution, for a spin in turn two with three laps remaining. Paul Volpe has been hovering around the top of the 2012 WSOP Championship Event leaderboard seemingl

As expected, the Day Four action foam cushion replacement at the 2012 World Series of Poker would prove to be a day of celebration at least for most of the 720 players who returned to the felt on Friday to contest for the title.
With the payouts starting at 666 players, 54 souls would go home empty handed and with only the memories of having gotten close to having a WSOP Championship Event cash on their poker resume. At the start of play on Friday, Dave D Alesandro was atop the leaderboard with his 1.1 million in chips, with three other men Sean Rice , Jacob Balsiger and Leo Wolpert joining him in the million chip club.
The floor staff for the WSOP bustled around the Amazon Room at the Rio as the players began leaving almost as quickly foam cushion replacement as they had arrived on Friday. Within two hours of the start of play yesterday, the bubble had been reached. Everyone settled in for what was thought was going to be a long grind, but the money bubble popped very quickly and in spectacular fashion.
On the first deal of hand-for-hand play, four players were eliminated from the Championship Event. Steve Rosen shoved with pocket Kings but ran into pocket Aces; Roberto Riva s pocket fives were crushed by his opponent s pocket Kings; Dane Lomas suffered the cruelest indignity in having his pocket Aces cracked by an opponent s A-K on a K-K-7 flop; and David Kelley saw his pocket Queens bested by Christina Lindley s pocket Aces.
After all the commotion died down from the quadruple popping of the bubble, tournament director Jack Effel brought the four men to the Main Stage of the Amazon Room. As they regretted their unfortunate luck, Effel informed them that they would split the 666th place money ($19,227, or just over $4800 each) and would be participants in a special four handed Sit and Go (time TBA). The winner of that SNG will be further rewarded with a seat to next year s Championship Event.
Following the ceremonies for the official popping of the money bubble, the floodgates opened and players started cashing out from the $62 million prize pool. In his first tournament, Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo would make the minimum money for his efforts and he was joined by a host of popular pros. Jason Mercier , Marvin Rettenmaier , Liv Boeree , J. C. Tran , Tuan Le , Brock Parker foam cushion replacement and Ronnie Bardah were just a few of those who could at least show a profit from their $10,000 buy in.
While the payout desk was busy, those at the top of the leaderboard foam cushion replacement began to position themselves for a run to today s Day Five action. Attempting to make back to back Championship Event final tables, Sam Holden foam cushion replacement made a move in the late afternoon, while Vanessa Selbst (who has had an outstanding 2012 WSOP) kept her name among the upper echelons of the table. As the tournament worked into the evening hours, other players would stake their claims to moving on to Day Five in excellent shape.
Paul Volpe has been hovering around the top of the 2012 WSOP Championship Event leaderboard seemingly since the start of the event and Day Four would be his moving day. After starting Friday s play with 820K in chips (good for the tenth place slot), Volpe would more than double that stack by the early evening hours. He would ride that chip stack through the night s play and will head to today s Day Five action as the overall chip leader in the tournament.
1. Paul Volpe, 2.725 million 2. Erik Hellman foam cushion replacement , 2.216 million 3. Dave D Alesandro, 2.093 million (Day Three chip leader) 4. Kyle Bowker , 2.081 million 5. Eric Buchman , 2.076 million 6. Elisabeth Hille , 2.074 million 7. Andras Koroknai , 1.971 million 8. Amit Zulkowitz , 1.961 million 9. Eric Legoff , 1.947 million foam cushion replacement 10. Nicco Maag , 1.899 million
While Volpe, Hellman and D Alesandro have been fixtures at the top of the leaderboard, it is the fifth place player who might bear watching. A 2010 WSOP bracelet winner, many may forget that Buchman was a member of the 2009 November Nine, battling to finish fourth that year in the tournament won by Joe Cada . With the experience of having gone through the rigors of a deep drive in the Championship Event previously, Buchman will have plenty of game to bring to the felt on Saturday. foam cushion replacement
There are a host of players hovering under the Top Ten that could also have an impact on today s action. Wolpert isn t in the Top Ten anymore, but he s poised to strike in eleventh place with his 1.835 million foam cushion replacement in chips.
