This past Tuesday night, the Museum of the City of New York’s Director’s Council bolha a fülbe hosted their annual autumn party “New York After Dark” in honor of Calvert Moore and Burwell Schorr in the memory of Cynthia Lufkin . This is a party that a lot of people look forward to. It’s a big crowd of young and/or youngish New Yorkers, many of whom are friends and neighbors.
The scene at The Four Seasons for “New York After Dark" I’d guess there’s not much more than two degrees of separation between almost everyone. Mark Gilbertson has a lot to do with this. I know he has a LOT of help but he promotes it like nobody’s bolha a fülbe business, and in a very offhand way.  The party is cocktails, “light fare” — at the Four Seasons so that’s already enough for a meal — and dancing. So you see, it’s a party. For a cause, supported by the neighbors, in an invisible yet palpable way. That’s why it’s a great success year after year.

The evening began with cocktails bolha a fülbe in the world renowned Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden. This was followed by a dinner and dancing in the Garden Terrace Room. The evening was presented by Piaget. The Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden more than 4400 hundred roses in more than 680 (!) varieties is the only surviving  New York City garden designed by the legendary Beatrix Jones Farrand . Long considered one of the most beautiful rose gardens in America, the Garden has been transformed in recent years into one of the most sustainable bolha a fülbe public gardens in the world. Last June two Yves Piaget rose bushes were added to the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden Collection. They honored Dotty and Lionel Goldfrank . Mr. Goldfrank has served for fourteen bolha a fülbe years on the Board and has been Chairman of both the Executive and Investment Committees. In addition his Lionel Goldfrank III Institutional Mapping Department and Computerized Catalog of the Living Collections makes possible the gathering of important topographical information about the Garden s landscape essential to capital improvements, exhibitions, and collections.
John and Carmen Thain The evening also saluted Ellen and Ken Roman for their enthusiastic dedication to the Garden including Ken s 24 years on the Board, tenure as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Annual Fund. The Romans have also been great champions of the Home Gardening Center NYBG s inspirational bolha a fülbe collection of demonstration gardens designed to teach gardeners of all the skill levels how to create beautiful, productive, and trouble free gardens. They established the Kenneth and Ellen Roman Fund in support of the work. The proceeds of the annual event helps to maintain and build the Rose Garden collection and to support the curators continued care and development of one of the world s premier bolha a fülbe rose venues.. The evening was joined by 250 members of the Garden s extended family. They raised $700,000 to support the collection.

Over 150 friends participated in the evening's festivities, which included a performance, panel discussions, and a Russian themed party. Bianna Golodryga, co anchor of “Good Morning America’s” weekend edition, moderated the panel discussion bolha a fülbe with ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie, Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, ABT Principal Dancer Polina Semionova, bolha a fülbe ABT Soloist Sascha Radetsky, and ABT corps de ballet dancer Gabe Stone Shayer.
ABT Studio Company members performing The Studio Company performed works by Antony bolha a fülbe Tudor and Susan Jaffe that will be showcased in Moscow on November bolha a fülbe 6th and 7th at The Kremlin Palace as part of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy's 240th Anniversary Celebration.  ABT Principal Dancers Cory Stearns and Polina Semionova also performed the pas de deux from Les Sylphides . Guests were treated to an assorted menu of delightful Russian cuisine catered by Sonnier & Castle, with a signature Moscow mule cocktail provided by Russian bolha a fülbe Standard Vodka as the evening's official vodka sponsor. The event raised bolha a fülbe $25,000 for the dancers' trip to Moscow.
